I think most people who like to nit-pick historical inaccuracy in films do it for a few reasons:
- it’s fun
- it’s silly to think that movies aren’t “important” because they’re entertainment, movies are the way most people come across with representations of histories they don’t know much about! So I can’t blame anyone for caring that they get the details right.
Kate Beaton sums up my opinion on nit-picking historical inaccuracy in films quite nicely thank you very much
an artist’s self esteem is a very complicated thing
you have to think that you’re the shit just enough to keep on drawing
and then you have to hate yourself enough to constantly want to improve
it’s hard to maintain that balance man life is hard
it’s ironic that tumblr loves a film about how exciting and amazing it is to be outside
Sometimes I feel like this is what’s happening whenever an artist I admire says they like my art.
It’s like one big paradox of art-appreciation.
holy fuck this is the most
thing I’ve ever seen
ALL THE TIME.
This is the biggest truth I’ve ever seen omg
Yep pretty much. Round and round we all go.
