Oh dang, Korra season finale tomorrow! I’m super excited! Would’ve noodled with this more, but it’s starting to thunderstorm over here and I should probably disconnect from the cintiq.

One thing that I love about the new Avatar series is how adults are allowed to be fully-formed characters and be present. Heck, nearly half of the main cast is over the age of 30! And they’re all amazing and fun and rounded and flawed. It’s refreshing to see a cast of adults in a kids’ show being allowed to be adults and not clueless foils.

Also Tenzin has a rockin’ coherent design and he’s made out of a tower of pointy bells.

LIKE, LOOK AT THESE TWO. I’m sorry but we should show EVERYONE going ‘omg but how is he Aang’s son?! DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!!!’ this GIFset, because seriously, he takes after Katara. I actually think fandom’s constant emphasis on him as Aang’s, rather than Katara’s as well, son is sort of… weird? Is it because he physically takes after his Dad? Because he’s a dude? What?

Like, oh man, seriously. IMAGINE THESE TWO ARGUING OVER INCONSEQUENTIAL STUFF WHEN HE WAS A TEENAGER AND IT JUST GRADUALLY GETTING WORSE AND WORSE AND MORE AND MORE HYPOTHETICAL AND PETTY BUT THEY ARE STUCK IN A SPIRAL, and Aang has to play peacekeeper, and Bumi and Kya(?) sit on the sidelines laughing at their ridiculous mother and baby brother. IMAGINE.
